The Director of Product Security will report to the VP of IT Security within the Corporate Information Security (CIS) organization. This role will oversee the full lifecycle of product security in order to enable consistent decision making and secure product development across various business units. Additionally, this role will be responsible for a core team of security resources that use a common set of processes and technologies to provide product development support to business units based on demand. The mandate for Director of Product Security includes the following:. Development and management of the Product Security strategy and continuous improvement, in line with key CIS and business objectives. Product security risk management, including product/portfolio prioritization, assessments and tracking across various business units using a pragmatic, risk-based approach to align with cybersecurity requirements. Oversight and execution of cybersecurity testing (eg penetration testing, mobile app testing, threat modeling, etc.). Communication and consulting services regarding product security architecture and emerging technology (eg 5G, container security, cloud, blockchain, IoT, etc.) to various technical and non-technical stakeholders. Identification and implementation of centralized resourcing and tooling/process automation in order to drive standardized processes, reduced costs, and improved agility. Execution of core Product Security operations including but not limited to:. Developer training and awareness. Secure systems lifecycle development. Capabilities to detect and remediate vulnerabilities. Threat and vulnerability management. Working with product Information Security Officers to oversee remediation of identified security issues. Management of a team of cyber practitioners (at multiple locations), providing leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development. What we're looking for Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 10+ years relevant experience in a combination of product security engineering, IT, application development and support, and cyber security. Proven leadership managing technology service delivery teams. Experience in communicating security risks in business terms that can be clearly understood at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cyber risks and adversaries and impact to large corporations. Possesses strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to handle multiple priorities and high stress situations. Strong relationship skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners. Excellent documentation and organization skills. Even better if you have:. Working knowledge with application programming interfaces (APIs), software development Kits (SDKs) and android application packages (APKs). Experience with Cloud Infrastructure security industry best practices (Cloud Alliance Forum). Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as NIST. Experience in integrating security requirements with identity stores, relational databases, application servers and physical access management systems, encryption, network perimeter. Knowledge of OSI Model, Network Architecture and Network Topology. Strong familiarity with telecommunications and technology companies, customers, products and services.
