Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systemsJOB DESCRIPTION:The Infrastructure Team Member will be responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of all aspects of the projects infrastructure. Project infrastructure includes hardware, software and networking resources. Activities include but are not limited to:Monitoring health and capacity of system resources (Nagios, CloudAudit, VROPS, ELK, Prometheus)Responding to reoccurring operations and maintenance activities (VM creation, Linux/Windows support, DNS/Certificate support)Development and implementation of new hardware and software capabilities (Central Logging, Resource Monitoring and Notification, Dev/Op Automation)Managing hardware and software life-cycles and maintaining applicable vendor relationships (end-of life tracking, licenses and support contracts)Participating in and conducting applicable accreditation support (scans, automation, auditing)Providing general system administration guidance and support (disk management, account creation, design reviews)Creating and maintain project level infrastructure standards and conventions (naming conventions, SOPs)The successful candidate must have direct experience in one or more of the following: System Administration - Prior experience as system administrator for Linux and/or Windows - Experiences with one or more scripting tools (Python, Powershell, Shell scripting) VMWare/VSphere- Managing server resources in a VMWare/VSphere environment- Performing upgrades and product updates as appropriate- Monitoring and proactive identification of constrained resourcesNetApp- Working knowledge of NetApp storage architecture- Performing upgrades and product updates as appropriate- Direct experience with Data on Tap and Command Line interfaceAWS/C2s- Familiarity and firsthand knowledge of our customers AWS/C2S environmentServer/Resource Automation- Experience with automations tools, such as Puppet and Ansible, preferably Ansible and/or Ansible Tower- Knowledge and experience with Cloud Formation and C2S Automation technicsHardware/Networking Experiences - Direct experience with HPs C7000 and/or Apollo architectures - Ability to maintain and implement networking updates and configuration - Knowledge and experience of Cisco networking and configuration BA/BS 5+ years of related systems admistrator experienceActive TS/SCI clearance with current FS polygraph For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
