The Army Public Health Centers (APHC) mission is to promote health and prevent disease, injury, and disability of Soldiers and military retirees, their families, and the Department of the Army civilian employees; and assure effective execution of full spectrum veterinary service for Army and Department of Defense Veterinary missions. GDIT is seeking a Sr. Biostatistician/Epidemiologist to perform the following tasks and responsibilities:Provides statistical guidance and develops strategies and recommendations for study design and statistical analysis.Writes or reviews statistical section of protocols, prepares analysis plans, and writes detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures. Interprets analyses and writes statistical sections of study reports. Communicates with data managers, study personnel, and other clients regarding statistical design, programming, and analysis. Analyzes health-related data. Assures that plans and execution of statistical functions meet all applicable regulations, guidance, and procedures. Develops and updates appropriate statistical documentation, and stores documents and data in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. Establishes, maintains, and recommends updates to policies and procedures such as documentation of standard operating procedures. Experienced and skilled with a wide variety of the field's concepts, regulations, standards, practices, and procedures. Works independently and relies on extensive knowledge, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The position additionally requires duties requiring proficiency in Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software package. Duties may require the ability to write code in SAS to allow for the desired specifics in data mining. Generates complex queries and reports; participates in the design of data mining and data warehouse systems.Proficient in arraying complex data in a format easily understood by clinicians and leadership Minimum of PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Demography or PhD in a Biological Science Related Field.Current Certification in SAS 9 (EACE Required Certification) 8-10 years of related statistical analysis experience.3 years experience analyzing health-related data For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
