Technical SME for 80+ COTS applications. Solid understanding of IT operations and requirements, including data storage and back-up, hardware and equipment, and network systems. Submit and review Change Requests for COTS application to aid in issue resolution and the SDLC Change Control process. Troubleshoot Production related issues and perform Root Cause Analysis for application outages. Provide DEV support for minor upgrades to promote Change Requests including documentation and CCB presentations. Assist Solutions Delivery with deployment of major upgrades after TRB approval. Provide support for DR by submitting Change Requests related to preparation in addition to fail over validation and application smoke testing post DR. Lead technician for POAM triage and resolution for COTS applications. Expertise in the following technologies: Windows Administration, Unix Administration, Java Development, SQL database architecture and scripting languages. This position will require technical and process documentation writing. 10+ years' IT experience. Minimum of 4 years (preferably more) of experience working in a Federal Government IT environment. Extensive experience with Windows Administration, Unix Administration, Java Development, SQL database architecture and scripting languages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent technical and process documentation writing. Agile certification. Dev Ops experience. Bachelor's Degree in related field. Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced team environment. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Desired requirements Cloud Architecture or Engineering experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, or other) Design, plan, execution and migration of applications or services to a cloud environment. ITIL, IPRC, Windows Administration, Unix Administration, Java Development, SQL database architecture or other IT related certifications. Familiarity with many COTS products that support the Federal government. Experience working at the US Securities and Exchange Commission either as federal employee or a contractor Education Bachelor's Degree in related field Location Washington, DC - Near Union Station Security Clearance Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
