Company DescriptionInternational BroadcastMedia CompanyJob DescriptionInternational News Channel located in Washington DC seeks a Desktop Support Engineer for an immediate temp to possible permanent role.International News Company seeks an overnight Help Desk Administrator for an immediate long term temp position.Primary Responsibilities respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and virtually diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues research questions using available information resources advise user on appropriate action follow standard help desk procedures administer help desk software identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention redirect problems to appropriate resource track and route problems and requests, document resolutions stay current with system information, changes and updates travel and work on and off site as neededExperience 3+ years experience in IT (Related internships will be considered) experience with OSX, Windows, Linux, Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange experience working in Windows 2008 domain based infrastructures experience with VOIP telephone systems experience with applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, iCal, Mac Mail, Outlook for Mac experience supporting mobile devices (iPhone, Android, and yes sometimes Blackberry and Windows Mobile) and associated applications experience working with ticket management systems working knowledge of Mac and Windows imaging and software deployment applications and procedures knowledge and experience of customer service practices knowledge of basic systems administration for LAMP, Windows, OSX and networking knowledge of file based workflows and how this applies to television production understanding of the OSI model and how it applies to troubleshootingSkills television production experience is preferred but not required strong interpersonal and communication customer service orientation solid documentation strong desire to learn flexible problem analysis and resolution ability to prioritize and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously ability to handle high stress situations and demanding clienteleAdditional InformationDepends On ExperienceJob Location
