JOB SUMMARY: The Network Administrator is primarily responsible for day-to-day IT service desk; managing all network related projects and services. This talented resource is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, customer-driven IT services to an enterprise-class business environment. The Network Administrator is a member of a dedicated, high performing team of IT professionals providing 24 x 7 support to a fast-paced, international business organization. Availability required to participate in troubleshooting emergency events 24/7/365.Essential Functions Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment. Perform installations and upgrades to switching, wireless, and security appliances. Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures to the system is secure, healthy, and fully redundant. Assist in developing a plan for future network upgrades and update the current IDS/IPS environment utilizing NetWitness and Palo Alto products. Work with members of the engineering team to keep up-to-date documentation on the Network Infrastructure Manage and maintain current Cisco / Meraki switching and wireless network environment to include tracking and isolating rogue devices. Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Troubleshoot network outages and performance problems as needed. Prepare and present reports on usage and system health as required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Works effectively under minimal supervision. Strong time-management skills. Ability to constructively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline ie Math, IT 6 + years' experience with performing network baseline assessments, LAN or WAN architecture design, VTC, VoIP, network security, continuity of operations plans (COOP), governing network policies and guidelines, enterprise application systems, network management systems, and network operations and management in a multi-site, high availability Network, utilizing Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto and Juniper hardware. 6+ years of experience performing regular maintenance to ensure the system is secure, healthy, and fully redundant. 6+ years of experience with Network Forensic tools such as WireShark, Snort, TCPDump, Finger, & IPerf. Familiar with Windows 10 OS, Mac OSX, & Linux Operating Systems Familiar with reading and understanding syslog's using KiWi Syslog Server and able to configure scripts within KiWi Syslog Server. Understanding of NetWitness Security Analytics Application, Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto Dashboards to prevent attacks from outside sources. Solid proficiency with Barracuda Hardware Load Balancers. Cisco Certified Network Associate-CCNA (Desired)WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual will be subject to sedentary work with the majority of hours in a professional office environment and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands. The individual is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal.
