The National Association of Home Builders is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Digital Strategy who will lead digital marketing initiatives for NAHB, working with internal partners to implement new and on ongoing campaigns. The Senior Director will have overall management oversight of the Digital Marketing department with a major focus on strategic planning, email and social media effectiveness. This person will also ensure that the department staff works collaboratively with departments throughout NAHB to help develop digital marketing strategy, messaging, tactics and collateral pieces. The Senior Director will lead the Digital Marketing team in developing effective marketing plans that use multi-channel tactics that are effective for the targeted audience(s) and will maintain leadership for positioning of digital products and development of appropriate messaging. Responsibilities also include developing and monitoring the annual department budget and making necessary adjustments based on revenue projections. This person will also review reports on the effectiveness of digital products using Google Analytics and/or Sitecore analytics and will provide insight and expertise to staff across the association on digital best practices and trends in order to remain competitive. Qualified candidates must have advanced knowledge of digital marketing, including social media execution, email technologies, marketing automation, HTML and Google Analytics. The desired candidate will have the ability to motivate and lead a dynamic team, as well as delegate and address conflicts. Candidates must also have the ability to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines under a heavy workload and have proven ability to develop and manage budgets. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required. This position also requires excellent computer skills in MS Office applications. Sitecore experience is a plus. A minimum of eight years of experience in development and implementation of marketing plans, strategy and budgets, preferably in an association or advertising agency environment is required. Candidates should have at least three years of supervisory and digital technology experience. Experience working in a team environment and with member volunteers is a plus. A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field, or equivalent in education and experience, is required.
