Are you an experienced Senior Packaging Design Specialist adept and comfortable working on both the creative and production side of packaging? If so, we have an opportunity for you to join an in-house production team with a global retailer located in Arlington, VA. As a Packaging Design Specialist, you will turn existing creative concepts into printable artworks. In this critical area of their business, you will be responsible for creating technical production art work used on their own brand packaging, working in line with the team's brand strategy.
Senior Packaging Design Specialist Responsibilities:
- Take an existing creative concept and work within our brand guidelines to create technical production artwork for individual product packaging
- Creation of production artwork files in Adobe Illustrator
- Work closely with Brand Managers to bring their vision to life
- Coordinate with other Packaging & Design team members, such as packaging engineering and translation / regulatory compliance
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Design.
- 2 years of packaging artwork production experience; preferably for the CPG / FMCG or grocery retail.
- Experience in and strong fundamental knowledge of consumer product packaging requirements and application of information on packaging for the grocery retail environment.
- Knowledge of US packaging regulations preferred.
- Expert user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Ability to read and understand packaging die-lines.
- Proven experience of prepress and the production art work process.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
- Proficient with all standard office software and design programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment.
