Incumbents will work very closely with and Field and Operations Management Team. Please Note: Local candidates are highly encouraged to apply. The Field Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Construction Job Site Team with a host of daily operations relevant to the project. Assignments will be on a construction job site. Typical activities for the Field Engineer include (but are not limited to the following): Prepares and publishes monthly reports Issue meeting agendas and minutes Log and track RFIs, PCOs, submittals, correspondence and other project documents Reviews all RFIs and coordinates their response to the contractor in a timely manner Review submittal comments and RFIs for appropriateness Take work progress photos Maintain document control system Assist in developing independent estimates for proposed changes and/or change orders Assemble PCO/CO package for owner approval, with necessary back up Coordinate the shop drawing/submittal review and approval process Monitor work progress as related to the schedule Assist with the monthly updates to the master schedule Coordinates punch lists, final inspections, and reviews O&M's, guarantees and warranties and contractor training of owner personnel Verifies that the contractor is maintaining project as-built drawings To be successful in this role, the Field Engineer will possess: Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management 3+ years of experience in construction management field Construction Management job site experience General computer usage, construction management software, develop spreadsheets using Excel, Microsoft Office OSHA 10 (minimum) Familiar with estimating and mechanics of CPM scheduling (Primavera software) Good verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions subject to extreme cold, heat, rain, snow and other inclement weather conditions. Performance of required duties will require the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time subject to uneven construction work site terrain. The ability occasionally climb, stoop , bend, crouch, crawl and be able to safely distinguish between noise/volume levels associated with construction job site is vital to a safe job site work experience. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
