Job Responsibilities Pennoni Associates is current seeking a Construction Inspector with experience consistent, but not limited to:Working in the field at construction sites in MD/DC area for highway transportation/public works projects Locations can include: Prince George's County, Montgomery, Frederick, Charles, Howard, Anne Arundel, Calvert, and St. Mary's CountiesReviewing drawings and specifications, and perform mathematical calculations based on field measurementsTesting materials such as soils, concrete, and asphalt as determined by project needCoordinating with contractors, engineer, owner, our project team, and the publicPreparing clear and concise daily field reports, including photographs and sketches when necessaryMust be willing to: Obtain certifications as required by assignmentsWork outdoors in differing weather conditionsWork near heavy equipment and construction operations, and within highway work zonesWork overtime/nights/weekends as project requirements dictateRequired Attributes:Education: High School DiplomaYears of work experience: Not specifiedMust obtain and maintain certifications/licenses such as: OSHA 10 HourMDE Responsible Personnel CardACI Concrete Field Testing CertificationNICETMARTCPWACELATSSA Flagger CertificationLooking for team players with strong communication and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple iOS softwarePreferred Attributes:Previous DOT construction experience, previous supervisory experienceWhy Work With Us?
