The Senior Systems Administrator is a member of the CIO team and reports directly to the Chief Information officer. He/she is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and support of all infrastructure and computing environments and provides technical assistance to in house staff, mobile and wireless users. The Senior Systems Administrator supervises the Network Support Specialist and must have 5+ years experience in design and administration to include installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting the various hardware, software and solutions in order to enable successful completion of MOAA strategic goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Install, configure, and support Windows Server, 2016, 2012, Windows 10 and associated software in both physical and VM environments Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phone system, software deployment, security updates and patches Monitor network performance and apply best practices to maintain core services for staff (internet, email, phones, wireless, print services) including software and hardware Provide process improvement through automation and the use of technology Provide helpdesk management and customer support Manage Network Support Specialist Install and configure new workstations to be used on the network and coordinate rollouts to the staff Troubleshoot connectivity issues from client software/device through to ISP Perform Enterprise backups and restores Manage PCs, Macs and peripherals including their interaction with network applications Manage hardware and software projects and deadlines as required Manage technology vendors Skills, Attributes, Knowledge Required: Must have excellent customer service skills Must have strong oral and written communication skills Must be a positive team player Must be able to organize and prioritize workload Must have superior problem solving skills, be able to use good judgment and act independently Must be committed to continued professional development Personal character and integrity are non-negotiable requirements. Professional Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field with 5 years' experience; or equivalent work experience as a systems engineer/administrator Experience installing, configuring and maintaining infrastructure equipment Microsoft Operating systems, business applications, Office365 and Teams Experience supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy Manage vendors and contracts as required Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferred Some programming and database knowledge preferred
