BPI & A applies capabilities and methodologies including Business Process Management, Business Architecture, Business Innovation, Lean Six Sigma, and Business Analytics to support transformation planning and implementation. We are looking for individuals with clearly demonstrated professional prominence in these capabilities and methodologies. The home location for this Department is in McLean, VA; actual work locations include a variety of MITRE and government sites in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia and sites beyond the Washington Metropolitan Area. As a BPI&A Principal, you will provide thought leadership and problem solving for government customers in collaboration with stakeholders from private, federal, state and local sectors. Specific responsibilities include many of the following activities: Provide insights to identify, explore, and frame complex or wicked problems and shape highly innovative solutions Recommend transformative courses of action to department and agency level senior leadership based on qualitative and quantitative analysis at multiple levels of business processes, identifying their core competencies, defining measures, and identifying needed capabilitiesGuide federal agencies continuous process improvement efforts such as Lean Six Sigma programs and business process reengineering (BPR) projects applying agile methods and current toolsPartner with experts across MITRE to support government leaders in defining and communicating their vision, strategy, and objectivesPosition MITRE as a thought leader and solution provider for new products or services that align to government agencies missions, visions, goals and strategies through trusted strategic partnerships with key government, industry, and academic stakeholdersConduct applied research in areas of business engineering, business process, or business innovation to advance capabilities required by government agencies.Required for consideration: Must be a US citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance. BS in Management Sciences, Information Systems Management, Analytics, Engineering or other problem-solving disciplines 8 + years of developing and implementing enterprise level business transformation solutions, including 2 years of leadership experience.
