The place of performance for this work will be at LMI offices in Springfield, VA or Aberdeen, MD. Position is for a Java developer with mySQL skills. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions) * Work with a team of LMI software developers and domain experts to develop web-based applications and application programming interfaces (APIs) in support of DoD and the military services. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Minimum 5 years' experience in software engineering. * Minimum BS in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field. * Professional experience with an emphasis on full lifecycle systems development including system design, development, DevOps, maintenance and support. * Strong demonstrated experience in web development using Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, and MySQL. * Strong demonstrated experience working with MySQL developing database-driven applications. * Hands-on experience using agile software development methodologies and practices * Familiar with lifecycle management tools such as Atlassian JIRA. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team of software developers. * Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, for which one must be a US citizen. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Active DoD Secret Clearance * Experience with milCloud/milCloud2 deployments * Experience with Distributed Source Control tools such as Git or Mercurial. * Experience building and testing web services including REST and/or SOAP. * Familiar with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) * Experience working in a consultant/client environment.SDL2017
