Job Description Managed service provider in Old Town Alexandria has an immediate opening for a help desk technician. This position's primary goals are handling first level support of service requests, providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and determining and implementing solutions. Working within a company, these professionals must be great communicators and be able to translate their technical knowledge into actionable direction and provide a prompt response to our clients. Outstanding Customer Service must always be a priority.Description of Help desk Technician Responsibilities:Provide end user technical support for standard workstations and applications, mobile devices, and office infrastructureSupport end user support for network connectivity (wireless and wired) and business applicationsIT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft??s core business applications and operating systemsBasic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and CitrixSupport end user printingRespond to all user support requests from all client offices with a strong awareness of the client's perspectiveAdminister Active Directory User Accounts and ComputersRequirements/ Qualifications:Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively over the phone and via Email.Strong problem solving and analytical skillsImprove customer service, perception, and satisfactionA focus on quality with attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlinesExperience managing Windows and Mac workstation hardware and related applicationsActive Directory, Exchange, and Outlook experienceSupport and experience with backup, anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-spyware technologiesAbility to occasionally work after hour shifts and weekends as needed on a per project or on call basis.Other Technical Skills that are a plus:Office 365 Administration and SupportConnectwise experienceLabtech and Agent AdministrationAmazon Web Services EC2 , Server administration Additional traits that make you a good match for our culture:Inspires others with enthusiasm and positive energyArticulates ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audienceListens attentively and activelyIs responsive and empathetic to customer needsDemonstrates professionalism at all timesStrong work ethic.
