Director of Religious Education
Institution in the community service sector. The Director of Religious Education will assist the pastor in Sacramental preparation for matrimony and infant baptism and will organize and execute the RCIA program for both children and adults. This role will organize and run sacramental preparation for middle school confirmation as well as second grade First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation. Additionally, the DRE will organize and run Adult Faith Formation and the annual Parish Lenten Mission. This position is also responsible for the creation of opportunities for youth and young adult Faith Formation. This role is also the head of the School of Religion, Catholic Identity and will implement all summer programs. The DRE will also assist the pastor in training of liturgical ministers. The DRE will also manager all religious education resources such as books, CD's, pamphlet racks and bookcases. This is a full time role with evening and weekend responsibilities. Bachelor's degree or higher in Theology (Master's degree preferred). At least two years' work in catechetical leadership. Experience in development of Catholic programming. Some knowledge of Catholic instructional materials.
