We provide services to the medically under-served at 14 sites in Montgomery and northern Prince George's counties in Maryland. Our services include primary care, behavioral health, dental, adolescent health, HIV and infectious disease testing and treatment, prenatal, and family planning. CCI Health & Wellness Services is also the largest provider of WIC services in the state of Maryland. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at our Support Center in Silver Spring, MD who will lead the organization in financial and strategic development, including financial modeling, performance and risk analysis, and accounting controls and best practices. The CFO oversees all fiscal operations, recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates department staff, develops and initiates systems, policies, and procedures for transacting financial matters, analyzes the impact of various delivery and financial models, ensures that the accounting system is accurate, efficient and in accordance with professional accounting practices and governmental regulations, maintains timely and accurate financial accounting records on the accrual basis, prepares operational statistical reports to track health center performance for key measures, and participates as an integral part of the Senior Management team. Responsibilities *Lead the financial strategy of the organization, providing the Associate CEO, the CEO, and the Board of Directors with the financial tools needed to measure risk and return on investment regarding decisions that fulfill the organizational mission. * Financial management: long and short term budgeting, accounting, financial statements, proposing fee structures, managing A/R, monitoring the financial status of the Center, ensuring appropriate reimbursement, financial management of grants, and performing the necessary and appropriate financial/program analyses. * Develop and ensure implementation of goals, projects, methods and controls in his/her areas of responsibility. * Direct the general accounting activities, including maintenance of general ledgers, supervision of accounting schedules, and review of payroll records. * Responsible for a successful annual fiscal and single audit in a timely manner. * Select, train, supervise and evaluate department supervisory staff. * Actively participates in all Studer processes including, but not limited to the LEM, LDI, and Joint Site Visits. * Actively participates in organizational goal setting and action planning through Studer processes including, but not limited to, the Leader Evaluation Management (LEM) tool, attendance and participation at the Leadership Development Institute (LDI), Joint Site Visits, and other trainings as required. Qualifications * An advanced degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. * Ten (10) years of experience in accounting preferable. * Six (5) years of proven supervisory experience. Previous experience in health care field preferred. * Expertise/Knowledge in the cost-based reimbursement model and Prospective Payment System rate setting process for Federally Qualified Health Centers. * Knowledge of State and Federal accounting regulations; principles and practices of financial administration, including budgeting and reporting requirements; organizational dynamics; planning; coordinating and directing a complex financial operation; problem solving and communication; grants management.
