For more information about Fannie Mae, visit JOB INFORMATION Our Single-Family, Application to Close Tribe is looking for a Director of Technology in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for managing multiple Agile teams that are developing and supporting technology solutions for a mission critical customer facing platform. This platform is undergoing one of the most important digital transformations at Fannie Mae that includes a major migration to Cloud (AWS). Experience in building and sustaining high performing technology teams, technical know-how and building collaborative partnerships across the enterprise will be keys to success. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS *Lead, technology teams involving in planning, building and operating mission critical solutions. *Hire, mentor and develop technology teams; contractors and full-time employees. *Translate enterprise and division strategy to vision and goals for the immediate team. *Proactively identify and manage team and project risks. *Actively engage in and influence budget and human capital plans for the team. *Develop, implement and oversee best practices and guidelines for existing or new technologies . *Collaborate with peers and senior leaders across the enterprise, on change initiatives beyond the immediate team deliverables. *Lead, and oversee the project management lifecycle from conception through completion that includes assessing business requirements, scoping and planning projects and initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, tracking and reporting project status, managing deliverables, and assessing customer satisfaction. Research and select vendors regarding the development of technical solutions, as needed, in conjunction with executive management. *Reports to executive management on major accomplishments, issues and concerns. *Represent the unit as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams and report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts. *Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Conduct talent management activities including mentoring, training, or providing technical growth opportunities. Qualifications EDUCATION *Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE *8+ years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS *10 or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional technology teams. *Experience delivering on complex and mission critical programs using Agile methodologies. *Experience in building, and supporting, always on, high throughout customer facing solutions in AWS Cloud. *Experience in leading transformational organizational and business changes. *Experience in setting human capital and talent strategy for the team. *Experience in hiring and motivating high performing teams. *Proven ability to effectively collaborate with business and technology partners across the enterprise. *Proven ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior leaders across the enterprise. *Proven ability to set inspiring vision and motivate the team to reach stretch targets. *Experience in mortgage industry would be a plus.
