The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program Director is a key member of the Enterprise Transformation Office leadership team, reporting to the Director. They coordinate closely with the COO and other executives. This position is accountable for collaborating broadly across Operational groups to deliver integrated, timely, transformational ERP solutions that improve MITRE's operations and converge on leading industry practices. They are responsible for defining and managing the program and its workstreams including team, tools, data, and methods; hiring and developing team, particularly team leads; exercising shared leadership with other leaders and staff; collaborating with technical and domain experts, "bringing the world to bear" to solve ERP challenges; managing program budget, scope, risk, schedule, and especially external stakeholder expectations; and representing transformation vision and interests at the senior leadership level.. The ERP Program Director shall:. Enhance and evangelize the vision for operational transformation among officers, directors, managers, system users, and other stakeholders; and serve as the primary focal point for engaging executives and others.. Strategize and lead program planning; mobilize and manage teams; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage program economics, scope, risk, and schedule.. Define and partner with IT, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to build sustainable ERP solutions and to contribute practical approaches to related governance and business process harmonization/optimization.. Advance operational maturity through guidance and application of leading industry processes, techniques, and tools; as well as ensure data analysis is inherent in and supported by the solution.. Partner closely with existing leadership to build the transformation team through definition of needed skill mix, hiring/outsourcing, on the job development and training opportunities, team building, and mentoring.. Manage all workstreams focusing on the development and execution of the transformation vision; demonstrate servant leadership for staff, providing support, career development, and guidance across technical and personnel issues.. Apply integrative leadership, leading analytic practices, and partner engagement skills to foster harmonization, shared expectations, and ensure that long-term transformation priorities are addressed while deliverables reflect optimal balance of completeness, timeliness, usability, and technical quality. Apply rigorous technical project management experience that addresses life cycle management via iterative, user-experience driven design.. Define and acquire--in collaboration with Legal, Procurement, Contracts--the necessary products and services required from implementation partners and manage vendor relationships to meet expected outcomes and outputs.. Qualifications. Experience building responsive ERP systems--as integrated systems of technology, data, people, and processes--that advance mission outcomes.. Effective leadership of high visibility direct and corporate projects, particularly large, complex, partnership-based, UX-driven initiatives.. Demonstrated success using leading practices to provide information advantage, return on investment, and substantial impact to a large and diverse set of partners through corporate operations transformation.. Proficiency in technical team and project management including incremental and agile methods and related certifications (PMP, PgMP, ERP-vendor specific).. Experience leading transformation teams-- including recruiting, developing, mentoring, and providing support/resources to staff as a servant leader--and sustaining morale and team productivity in challenging situations.. Experience designing, using, and operating secure ERP solutions including cloud-based solutions such as Oracle or Workday.. Product management experience including requirements elicitation/gap analysis, customer experience management, customer/usage/outcome data analysis, strategy/roadmap definition, and lifecycle sustainability.. Track record of advancing enterprise harmonization through process optimization and convergence on leading practices, as well as applying systems thinking and integrative approaches to large-scale enterprise initiatives.. Proven leadership, professional consulting, and communications skills. MS in Systems Engineering or related advanced technical degree and 15 years of related experience..
