POSITION SUMMARY: HazardousArea Construction Manager/Project Manager - Senior (Hazardous Area CM/PM-FP.) leads,manages, and supervises a multi-functional team of subject matter experts, HVACtechnicians, allied tradesmen, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, janitors, welders,grounds maintenance personnel. The Hazardous Area CM/PM-FP advises and assiststhe customer in all aspects of project planning, design-build, construction,), projectdeactivation, including supporting site operational and maintenance (O&M)as well as workforce mobilization and demobilization. The Hazardous Area CM/PM-FPis responsible for developing construction documents and specifications;evaluation of bids; reviewing of shop drawings and submitals; conducting siteinspections and quality assurance; evaluating project modifications and changeorders; and validating accomplishment of work claimed on invoices for partialpayments. These tasks may include, but not limited to coordinating and assistingthird party construction firm(s) in such a manner as to ensure project success,to include being on-budget, on-time, within scope, with an acceptable level ofquality given the project requirements and the environment. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: 100%. " cents Provide Hazardous Area CM/PM-FP. services forOCONUS hazardous areas to include high and elevated risk areas" cents Responsible for managing multiple projectssimultaneously and adjusting priorities as required" cents Coordinate and assist third party constructionfirm(s) in such a manner as to ensure project success, to include beingon-budget, on-time, within scope, with an acceptable level of quality given theproject requirements and the environment" cents Coordinate construction activities between alldisciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical, safety, security, logistics,communication) and any other project related functions" cents Manage the Integrated Project Team (IPT), which mayinclude security, logistics, telephone, computer system, contracts, facilitysupport officer and construction personnel" cents Provide weekly status reports of the project and ofany/all support required from other locations" cents Coordinate and assist site development,cast-in-place concrete construction, electrical power generation plants anddistribution systems, expedient field construction techniques, building systemsand oversight of compound construction" cents Assist the Government in all aspects of projectplanning, design, construction, O&M, and deactivation to includedevelopment of construction documents and specifications; evaluation of bids;reviewing of shop drawings and submitals; site inspections and qualityassurance; evaluation of project modifications and change orders; andvalidating accomplishment of work claimed on invoices for partial payments" cents Assist in developing Statement of Work (SOW) requirements" cents Ensure that the project adheres to established SOWrequirements, schedules and budgets" cents Maintain daily project log, document all activitiesrelated to the project including changes in the SOW, schedule deviation andcost impacts" cents Maintain close communication with the Customer toensure their satisfaction through project completion" cents Assist in performing drawing reviews, conductingsite surveys, reviewing change orders, contractor oversight, quality assurance,final project acceptance and assisting with approval final project approvals" cents Coordinate with all Government stakeholders (ie Management, Security, Utility Outages Transportation/Logistics,Communications/IT) MATERIAL & EQUIPMENTDIRECTLY USED: " cents Laptop and deskcomputer." cents IndividualProtective Equipment (ie, Hardhat,Steel Toed Boots, Safety Glasses, WorkGloves, Hearing Protection, etc." cents OrganizationalClothing and Individual Equipment" cents Be licensed andable to drive a manual transmission non-tactical vehicle (SUV, pickup truck/9passenger van). " cents Pass customer specifictraining and certifications." cents Project Management Professional(PMP) desired" cents Professional Engineer(PE) certification desired Travel: " cents Must be worldwidedeployable, often to remote, austere permissive and nonpermissive environments Clearance: " cents Must have an current, adjudicated,and active TS/SCI security clearance with Poly Experience: " cents Five (5) years ofexperience in overseas construction management" cents One (1) year of OCONUSexperience with local contractors and labor forces (may be cumulative overseveral projects/deployments)" cents Six (6) months of experienceworking in a Government-designated war zone (may be cumulative over severalprojects/deployments) Skills: " cents Possess knowledge, skillsand abilities, including experience in deployed expeditionary support services,at minimum, in areas of logistics management, logistics planning, facility management,supply, transportation, traffic management, vehicle maintenance, facilitymaintenance, facility management, warehouse management, janitorial supportservices, etc." cents Specialized knowledge, skills and abilities experience infacility Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support servces with generalcarpentry and/or general construction skills performing and/or managing base orcampound O&M support services
