ECS is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to work in our Arlington, VA office. Job Description:Responsibilities to potentially include: Administer and manage GOTS SharePoint Documentation PortalCarry out Documentation Management Plan and design and execute improvement opportunitiesReview and provide assessment for Construction Drawings and Design Intent DocumentationCreation, editing and review of Network Cabling, Rack Elevation and logical network diagrams in Microsoft VisioGenerate requirement summaries based on prior deliverables (Meeting Minutes, RFI Responses, E-Mails, etc)Apply knowledge to perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and execution of the IT Build-Out and Integration, etc.Create and maintain metrics and key performance indicators relating to the consolidation effortAssist Sr. Project Manager in preparation of executive-ready project reporting including but not limited to: Scheduling updates & analysis, progress reporting, change management and various customized reports and efforts for the government clientReview and ensures project-related communication of project related information to ensure project objectives will be executed in a timely manner.Required Skills:Bachelor's Degree or above in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferredFour to six years of government information technology experienceFour to six or more years of IT asset, change & configuration management, process/procedures, tagging, tracking, inventory and risk management.Technical writing experience and proficiency related to the technically related content of Government Acquisition activities, with specialized focus on requirement documentation, Statements of Work, Sole Source/Brand Name Justifications, Market Research Reports as well as reviewing and validating Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE)Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project) and SharePoint expert proficiency Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and a quality control focus.Ability to work with minimal direction in a low structure environment.Desired Skills:Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) Certification (Foundation, Practioner or Expert)Prior experience supporting the TSA or another component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, veteran status or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
