Leveraging the data-rich features of the real estate industry, you will help develop an industry leading consumer experience for real estate agents to manage relationships with their clients and enhance their day to day productivity with web and mobile applications while also supporting the growth of the world's most scalable brokerage. You will work on an independent team that is empowered to build, test, deploy and monitor your services on our scalable engineering platform, and you will contribute to the evolution of that platform.At Compass You Will Build, develop and scale our platform and CRM frontend that powers real estate agents, buyers and sellers Write JavaScript code architected for scalability and re-use, with strong opinions on code structure and modularization. Contribute to the architecture of a microservice ecosystem that allows for rapid and independent development by many teams. Be a domain expert on real estate technology and products and an empathetic partner to our customers Inspire, recruit and mentor your engineering colleagues Operate in a scalable engineering culture that leverages modern principles of decoupled systems and automated CI/CD/testing/monitoring to drive efficiencies What We Look For BS in CS or EE or equivalentProven track record working in top talent and high performance environments 5+ years writing well-tested, high-performance, database-driven web applications and backends Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and its ecosystem Expertise with at least one modern Javascript framework like React or Angular Experience with Go is a plus Experience with Redux, Typescript, NPM, Webpack is a plus Experience designing large systems: particularly web services and RESTful APIs, microservice architectures, and data ingestion with a particular emphasis of industry standard best practices.
