Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Desktop Engineering team is a highly collaborative and cross-functional team looking for an engineer with strong analytical skills, an extremely high focus on attention to detail, a team player attitude as well as a passion for improving Apple Mac OS X management infrastructure. Required Technical skills include a thorough understanding of Apple Mac OS X engineering best practices including management policies, managing encryption solutions, Systems Programming/Automation scripting, and solid understanding of networking concepts. Strong candidates have experience with managing or supporting large distributed endpoint environments. This Engineering position is responsible for Mac OS X administration, OS imaging, encryption, security, application packaging, and systems automation for a medium to large distributed Apple Mac environment.Minimum Position Qualifications:Must have 5 to 7 years experience with Apple Mac hardware and administering/supporting Mac OS X in a medium to large enterpriseMust have 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with a wide range of infrastructure, including but not limited to Operating Systems, Device Management, and client systems.Must have expert Mac OS X knowledge and Engineering level experience with Mac OS X imaging and application packaging.High proficiency with centralized Mac OS X security, encryption, and policy management as well as Active Directory integration.Must have experience with OS X automation and systems programming such as AppleScript, Perl, Bash, or Objective-CMust have advanced experience building Filewave filesets, deployment staging and customization scripts. Experience with creating launch daemons and login scripts a plus.Demonstrated technical leadership and communication skills and ability to transfer knowledge effectively.Desired Job Experience:Experience with installation and configuration of Xcode, Homebrew, Squid Proxy, or GitLab a strong plus.Experience with building and testing Mac PKG bundles for deployments as well as deploying AppStore Apps through Filewave a very strong plusSystems programming and automation experience.Strong candidates are Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) or Certified Support Professional (ACSP)Experience with Filewave, Centrify, or DeployStudio Server are strong pluses.Company DescriptionBarrister Global Services Network Inc. is currently looking for a motivated, highly detailed, organized and outgoing individual to support one of our major nationwide clients.
