Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities S eeking a motivated CLOUD ENGINEER in support of NGA Integration Test & Image Quality Office (TAC) on the Acadia program. Join a skilled, highly respected and long standing team supporting product quality mission for NGA. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your career by working with the community subject matter experts, directly with the customer and with an experience software development team. The successful candidate will work as a cloud engineer tasked with supporting integration of testing tools into a cloud architecture to meet the mission of the TAC office. Based on the priorities of the office and the active projects, the candidate will be tasked to: Provide technical expertise on cloud computing techniques and technologies and expert advice to the program, and related cloud computing architectures. Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics for clients in research and production areas. Work with massive data sets, complex algorithms, and team members from a variety of specialties to solve clients' hardest problems. Support a range of clients from front line analysts to researchers and senior leadership. Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-growing, and highly skilled software development team. Experience with information extraction and analysis techniques, practices, and algorithms. Knowledge of a variety of advanced computer science and mathematical concepts, practices, and procedures associated with the analysis of large datasets, from indexing schemes to statistical tests Knowledge of Cloud computing, Amazon Web Services Experience with data mining or machine learning preferred. Apply expert knowledge in computer science, particularly in the and cloud computing environments. Manage service deployment strategies using best practice deployment patterns for IaaS/PaaS/container technologies including Blue/Green, Canary, and zero-downtime deployments. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies to enable configuration managed, preferably immutable, and repeatable service configuration. Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Engineering, Math or in a related Engineering 5-10 years of cloud engineering or related experience Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment, specifically Unclassified Cloud (UC/UC2S) and Top Secret Cloud (TC/C2S) AWS cloud architecture best practices; VPC Peering, VPN Tunnel, Security (NACL/ACL/IAM) AWS cloud services; Cloud Formation, S3, RDS, NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB and MongDB, EC2 Background in various DevOps technologies including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Experience with Platform as a Service offerings and constructs, especially Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and container technologies and frameworks. Strong written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on briefing to obtain decisions and solve technical issues and test plans/reports writing Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Willingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environment Experience working in a DoD or IC operational environment.
