ASSYST is looking for Agile Coach to work from our client site in Baltimore, MD.Experience and skills:Experienced with SAFe(R), Scrum, Lean, Kanban, and XP practicesMinimum of 10 years in an IT role and 2 years working as a coachExperience with Jira and ConfluenceMust have SAFe(R) Lean-Agile team and program-level coaching experienceCertifications: SPC or SSM or SASM, PMI-ACP(R), Certified Scrum Professional-Scrum Master (CSP-SM)Able to be a technical expert and spokesperson for Agile/Scrum/SAFe(R)Provide agile coaching support at program-level and at times, scrum master support to multiple project teams through daily standups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, sprint and PI demos, etc.Be able to coach the program management team and agile teams with product planning including refinement and splitting Epics into Features and Stories with a clear definition of done (DoD) for each levelProvide scrum master and product owner coaching to other engineersProvide support to RTE for Program Increment Planning Events and support Program Board managementSupport and engage with the Agile community of practiceMaintain Epics and Stories in Jira and generate metrics and reports for associated agile teams and coach on shortcomingsAbility to handle aggressive deadlines and product development with agility and results-driven approachExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to use MS Office Suite of productsAbility to follow a Product Development that includes elements of product planning, estimation, and developing program backlog from requirements, facilitating, coaching, implementation, and reportingAbility to interact effectively with other Agile Coaches, RTEs, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Owners, and Agile team members as well as individuals in other disciplines and organizationsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write and present agile guidelines, analysis reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsExperience playing the Agile Coach role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile/SAFe(R)/Lean/Kanban/Scrum principles, practices, and theoryKnowledge of numerous well-documented agile patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the SAFe(R)/ Scrum/Kanban/Lean approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Estimation, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.Knowledge and experience of DevSecOps Suites and tools is a plusEducation & Certifications:Requires Minimum of BS in Computer Science, or other related eng or science fields.
