Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a leading global medical association in Washington, D.C. to assist in its search for an Education Specialist. Qualified candidates will support the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation for the annual meeting in addition to implementing the planning database for abstract and faculty management. If you are a customer-minded individual with an eye for detail who values collaborative work environments, this could be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:
  • Support planning and project management functions for a large annual conference to include logistics coordination, content organization, and post-event analysis
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Office functions (pivot tables, mail merges) to facilitate coordination and development tasks
  • Adhere to tight deadlines and follow processes to ensure accurate completion of tasks; make recommendations for improved efficiency as appropriate
  • Manage a large database to facilitate abstract submission

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree required, at least 4 years of prior experience working in an association or project management capacity
  • Experience developing CME programs preferred; previous database experience highly desirable
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills required
  • Ability to work in a team environment but also as an individual
