Electronics Engineer, Field Service Representative (FSR), Regional Support Center (RSC), IRAQGDIT has an exciting position open for an Electronic Engineer, Associate supporting the (Regional Support Center) RSC in Southwest Asia. The RSC supports several customers maintaining systems such as CREW, Trojan, Prophet, Radios, BETSS-C, Radios, NVDs, and PM REF. The selected individual will work at the front end of the delivery of our sustainment effort providing the warfighter and customers with fully mission capable (FMC) systems. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, suitably experienced, trained, and able to follow instructions clearly and able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the mission and the organization. Must be willing to travel and have a current and active US Government issued secret clearance.RequirementsThis position is in support of PM REF aerostats and drones and other systems as assigned. Some of the related experiences you need to perform this job are as follows:Experience installing mechanical and electronic components.Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining ISR payloads to include HD model cameras and complete understanding of long, medium, and near IR and laser ranging, spotting, and designation.Experience in deploying aerostats, working with helium, and tethered platforms.Experience installing and repairing fiber-optic, CAT-5e, BNC, USB, and multi-pin connectors and cables.Experienced in LOS communications.Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.Networking interface knowledge and skilled in troubleshooting network malfunctions.Working knowledge of diesel generator and solar power operations.Experienced in software and hardware updatesUnderstanding of waypoints and other locationTrains small groups of operators on tower raising and lowering and preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), operations, and troubleshooting techniques on each system and its componentsPerform troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair or replacement of defective components. Troubleshooting and repairs may be highly complex in nature and involve mechanical assemblies, hydraulics, gases, and electrical, electronic and optical componentsPerform operations checks on systems prior to moving systems from each site to ensure 100% functionality for the next installationPerform inspections of installed equipment to verify accountability assetsProvide Technical representation at meetings and consultations with clients or their representativesAdvise the unit commander on the feasibility, functionality and capabilities of the systems assigned to the AORWork in conjunction with the unit commander on the ground to ensure all the unit's requirements are metIndividual will be the on-site point liaison for the customerInteract with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful wayMulti-task efficiently and work in a fast pace environmentCreates trouble tickets and requests parts through a proprietary databaseContacts and coordinates with internal departments for partsTravel to multiple locations within Southwest Asia as requiredThe Ideal Candidate must have:Must have a current and active US Government SECRET clearanceMust have a current US Passport with at least 2 years remaining before expiration date plus more than 4 empty pages for stamps/visa'sBA/BS degree or AA/AS Degree and 2 years' experience, or High School Diploma and 6 years of experienceExperience in electronics troubleshooting and component level repairValid driver's licenseIT Networking experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to meet internal paperwork requirementsDesirable Skills/QualificationsComp TIA Security+ or Comp TIA Network+ certificationPrevious experience operating or maintaining exact or like aerostats, drones, BETSS-C Systems, (eg RAID, Cerberus, GBOSS, Thermal Imagery, Ground Surveillance Radar, Closed Circuit Television, Command and Control Systems)Knowledge of electronic test equipment used for troubleshooting, diagnostics and testingExperience working in hostile and austere environmentsExperience in stock control and asset managementExcellent customer presence as well as verbal and written communication skills, writing system documentation documents, and communications involving system installation and operation For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training, and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
