The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the Millersville area. Key responsibilities - Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports - Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management - Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts - Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities - Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis - Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation - Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques - Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations. Please contract Adam Arnold at 410-423-9454; [Click Here to Email Your Resume] if you are interested in this position.Your responsibilities in this role- Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team- Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports- Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash- Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Experience with budgeting and forecasting- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred- Comprehension of financial statement preparation- Prior experience with US GAAP- Accounts Payable and Receivable oversight- Financial Statement experience highly valued- Account management experience- Hands-on experience with month end closings- Experience with accounting policy- Experience with Monthly Financial Statements- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentationsRobert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
