You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Major responsibilities- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Take part in various department-wide initiatives- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease- Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on- Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision- Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation- Detailed and have the ability work independently- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment- Spreadsheet and database capabilities- 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics- Account reconciliation experience preferred- Deep understanding of Full Cycle Payroll- Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired- Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)- Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions- Vow to meet business deadlinesRobert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
