Requirements The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information. The United States has experienced profound changes that impact the way the National Security Agency (NSA) conducts its mission. With ever-accelerating technological advances and the world's dependence on computer networks, the NSA must meet and overcome new and multifaceted challenges every day to accomplish its mission. To meet these needs, Exploitation Cryptanalysts employ cryptanalysis principles, methods, and applications of cryptanalysis such as codebook breaking, cribbing and scoring, substitution systems, and transposition systems. Exploitation Cryptanalysts employ the hybrid skill-set of advanced computer science, engineering and mathematics to ensure solutions to the most difficult cryptanalytic problems and take full advantage of the NSA's software and hardware capabilities. As an Exploitation Cryptanalyst you will -Monitor and detect problems in a data flow or collection to ensure collection quality -Analyze garbled intercepts by using processing skills and techniques -Conduct analysis of signals andor cryptographic data -Use knowledge of cryptanalysis to diagnose and exploit encrypted material -Debugging and testing software programs Skills The ideal candidate is someone with a desire for continual learning and strong problem-solving, analytic and interpersonal skills who iscan -flexible -communicate effectively -collaborate with others Specialized skills and experience in one or more of the following is required -Programming (low level, high level, parallel) -Computer systems research -Software engineering -Hardware engineering -Computational science -Algorithm analysis and design -Reverse engineering Qualifications null How To Apply To apply for this position, please click the 'Apply' button located at the top right of this posting.
