The Senior ISSE ensures the rigorous application of cybersecurity policies, principles and practices in the delivery of all Information Technology (IT) and cybersecurity services including Data Center and Cloud environments. Responsibilities Act as the ISSE (Information System Security Engineer) to the Information System Owner (ISO) on a number of internal NASA systems, and or applications, including any systems, or applications, that are migrating (or have migrated) to the HQ MCE (Headquarters Managed Cloud Environment). Ensure that systems, and or applications, which are in the planning and initiation phases of development are in alignment with Federal IT Security Standards and Policies (NIST, FISMA, FEDRamp, NASA NPRs and NPDs, etc.). Ensure that systems, and or applications, which are in the pre-authorization, authorization, and continuous monitoring phases of development are properly maintained in the NASA RISCS system. Assist the ISO to ensure all information system Risk Based Decisions, and Plans of Actions and Milestones are properly recorded, working towards satisfaction, concluded, andor closed out in the NASA RISCS system. Provide the ISO, the systems engineering teams, application development teams, and other NASA stakeholders are properly informed of any security risks to their information systems, and applications, and the impacts of those risks to the larger NASA Headquarters and NASA Agency operating environments. Monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to protect data systems, databases, and network systems from unauthorized users. Identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations. Determines causes of security violations and recommends corrective actions. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance security. Assists in communicating security procedures to users. Establishes and satisfies system- wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Applies expertise to Government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. Minimum Requirements BS Degree in IT, Business or Equivalent 10 years of IT Systems Security experience 1-2 years of Cloud Security experience 1-2 years of experience with Cloud architecture, in particular AWS Must hold an active Secret Clearance Must be a US Citizen Preferred Requirements NASA experience Hold an active Top-Secret clearance DoDD8140DoDD8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or II Certification SaiTech, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
