JOB DESCRIPTION CloudDevOps Engineer McLean, VA Piper Companies is seeking a CloudDevOps Engineer in McLean, Virginia (VA) to work for an innovative wireless technology company that is trusted by some of the world s largest cable companies to complete the wireless portion of their quad play . The CloudDevOps Engineer will be hands-on and involved with the engineering and operations departments, building and maintaining production environments in AWS and physical data centers. The CloudDevOps Engineer is someone that is team player with the desire and passion to take-on a large-scale responsibility. Responsibilities for the CloudDevOps Engineer Build, maintain, and migrate infrastructure on an AWS environment. Write scripts to automate operations and server management. Define, create, test and execute operation tools and procedures for monitoring, notifications, trending and analysis. Install OS updateshotfixespatchesservice packs and troubleshoot production issues. Team up with application developers to automate builds and software deployments to QA and production. Requirements for the CloudDevOps Engineer Minimum of 3 years experience with building and maintaining production environments in large-scale consumer enterprises. At least 3 years of applied experience with most, if not all, components of AWS. Fluent in Linux (RedHatCentOSAmazon) administration, shell scripting (BASH), and AWS CLI. Production experience developing, configuring and supporting monitoring systems, alerting and analytics (Sumo Logic, OpManager, AppD, etc.). Telecom system experience is preferred.
