Subject matter expert in human dimension research, particularly in human-machine interface and integration, serves as a liaison between a DoD research laboratory and a high profile advanced soldier worn technology development program.

Essential job functions:

Activities may include, surveying current research activities and products of the DoD research organization, investigating technology transfer/insertion opportunities, supporting review of requirements, specifications, and planning, of the soldier worn technology, communicating DoD research laboratory's ideas, lessons learned to Program Management, as well as Program Management's ideas and directions to the research laboratory.

Participates in relevant meetings scheduled by Program Management office (roughly twice week), at Ft. Belvoir, VA., and provides relevant and timely input

Participates in coordination meetings with DoD research laboratory in Aberdeen Proving Grounds (roughly twice month).

Reviews, evaluates and makes recommendations concerning research plans and priorities as requested.

Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations concerning the solider worn technology direction and plans as requested.

Stays abreast of current research in the field.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Master's degree plus 10 years, or PhD plus five years in Human Factors, Psychology, Human Machine Integration Research or Engineering and Development.

Ability to obtain Secret security clearance required.

Reviews and evaluates technical information to keep abreast of developments relating to wearable augmented reality technologies in the United States and other countries, and assures that the latest engineering and scientific knowledge is applied to the support provided.
