The Senior Financial Analyst will perform at the Consultant level. This position will assist the client with making decisions on data standards in a government reporting schema based on federal policy related to financial reporting, contracts, grants, and other financial assistance such as loans and insurance.Utilize the definitions and application of the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) in transactions and reporting to enhance government-wide data standardsEnable developers and agencies to implement DATA Act legislation and related requirementsResearch and use knowledge of Federal financial, contract and/or financial assistance data, including definitions, transactions, reconciliation and reporting requirements and best practices, to enhance government-wide data standards and act as a SME to the team and agenciesUpdate the DATA Act published data model and filesFacilitate group discussions or meetingsQuickly identify and quantify issues and provide appropriate solutionsCommunicate effectively through written and spoken words preparing accurate supporting documentation in various formatsWork across multiple functional teams in an Agile environmentRequired Qualifications:BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in a business or financial field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, etc.)Minimum 4 years of experience in federal financial management supportFamiliarity with the definitions and application of the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) in transactions and reporting, particularly budgetary accountingUnderstanding of Federal financial, contract, and/or financial assistance data, including definitions, transactions, reconciliation and reporting requirements per the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and/or Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations Ability to obtain and maintain a US secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship) kco2019 Work location is subject to change based on client requirements.Kearney & Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other classification protected by law.If you would like to request a reasonable accommodation, regarding accessibility of our website, a modification or adjustment of the job application or interview process due to a disability, please call 703-236-2391 or email accommodations@kearneyco.com.
