We are looking for a qualified candidate to work as a full-time Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Engineer for a Government client in Washington, District of Columbia. Cloud Platform Infrastructure Engineer is needed in the design, configuration, optimization, virtualization, identity management, systems management, and security hardening of both cloud and on premise-based infrastructure. The candidate must have a current certification as a Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate or higher certification. Note* Candidate MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder. Minimum Required Skills: Familiarity in best practices in modernizing data center environments, leveraging cloud technologies, virtualization, and maximizing the cloud storage and processing capabilities. Ability to configure, monitor and troubleshoot of network infrastructure devices (Cloud-based Network Security Groups (NSG), Wi-Fi Access Points, Routers, Switches, Servers (Physical and Virtual), UPSs, Network and Application Load Balancers, VPN and Remote access solutions, remote access services support, access control, and identity, management task. Monitoring and troubleshooting Firewalls (Including Web Application Firewall) and intrusion prevention systems. Proficient in creating Network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. Experience developing standards in partnership with Engineering, Infrastructure Service, and Application Development to select appropriate technical solutions. Knowledge of Windows, SQL, Unix and Linux servers Familiar with Azure Sentinel, Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor and Heartbeat) Familiar with security and management tools ie, (Nessus, ForeScout CounterACT, Microsoft System Center, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft InTune) Minimum Required Qualifications: US Citizen or Green Card Holder. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major. Minimum 3 Years of experience in designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solution architectures. Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing, administering, troubleshooting and monitoring network devices and servers. (Must include NOC Experience) Certifications: Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate or Higher Cert. (Required) MCSA or MCSE (Required) CCNA or Higher One of the following: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
