Soft Tech is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Jr. Project Manager to support one of our long time clients in Bethesda, MD. This position is focused on providing support to the Division Director, providing support for organizational and strategic conditions creating executive level documentation, presentations, and meeting minutes and schedule and coordinate events, as well as manage calendar, meetings, conferences, etc. Must be able to work with minimal direction and guidance. NOTE REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP OR GREEN CARD MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE Responsibilities Proactively understands the division's IT strategy direction, organizational structure, and services. Assists the Division Director in analyzing the organization s competitive position within the government and IT industry, when requested. Conducts IT industry research through sources such as Gartner or the Internet and develops a presentation that clearly supports and answers the Division Director s requirements. Responsible for developing the partner focus presentations for the Division Director, which are used to market DCSS and its service to customers. Using the analyst s knowledge of the organization and IT industry, the analyst works closely with the branches to gather and update the applicable IT and business information. Familiar with the organization in order to accurately prepare and update written business correspondence and organizational documents (presentations, spreadsheets, memos, organizational charts) that is coherent, accurate, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging to the Division Director. Provides the Division Director with budgeting information when requested. For example, access financial systems to run reports (eg how much money was spent on procuring supplies for a particular month or date range?). Schedule executive and other meetings, organize agendas, take and distribute minutes, conference room bookings for the Division Director and Deputy Director. Ensure all meetings are ready prior to start (eg projector ready for use, meeting materials are printed). Coordinate and arrange venue and catering details for division-wide events (eg reserving the room and picking up food). Create and maintain DCSS Office of Director electronic and hard-copy files. Coordinate the travel itineraries, training, and bookings for the Division Director and Deputy Director. Coordinate and prioritize the appointments, conferences, meetings, and industry conferences for the Division Director and Deputy Director Consult regarding priorities and deadlines Coordinate special events (eg semi-annual divisional staff meetings) and projects as directed Print out the weekly calendar for the Division Director Responsibilities Advanced knowledge in requirements gathering, data modeling, documentation, and analytics. Must have high level of computer literacy, including the ability to technically generate high quality documents Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio) and SharePoint. Self-motivated leader, enthusiastic, creative, analytical problem-solving leader who is able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as superior time management abilities. Working knowledge of and background in the Information Technology industry. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Bachelor's degree required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with all stakeholders, to consult effectively, and obtain agreed outcomes. Excellent problem solving skills and judgment. High level of writing skill including the ability to produce high quality executive-level memos, presentations, minutes, and other documents (writing samples must be provided as part of evaluation). Pays attention to detail and delivers quality products. Must be able to handle high-paced office and is proactive.
