The cloud engineer shall perform duties on tasks that require expertise in Office 365/Azure, client/server architecture, operating systems, software applications, e-mail, network protocols, routers, switches, and firewalls. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Possess significant knowledge of Office 365 concepts, legacy and modern information technologies, on-premises infrastructures and migration concepts. Define technological strategies with clients . Understanding of how all parts of the business solution work together including processes, operating systems, and application architectures. . Applies advanced theories and techniques to the solution of practical problems in business, engineering, and technical fields.. Identify, design and document alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, with greater reusability, longer life and supporting modern technical solutions. Drives modernization and innovation in alignment with technology and industry best practices to support client digital transformation efforts. Provides guidance for adherence to the documented enterprise, application and architecture principles. Communicates effectively with clients to identify and understand needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies.. Maintain effective working relationships with various stake holders, including as appropriate, end-users, project managers, engineers, and clients. Provides technical guidance, subject matter expertise and promotes cross training among staff. Coordinate and collaborate with multiple team members, including architects and technical leads, when engineering solutions. Ability to create technical documents/whitepapers, and experience presenting and defending designs to technical and business audiences. Strong writing capabilities with the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions in clear and understandable terms JOB REQUIREMENTS. Experience with Microsoft Cloud solutions - Office 365 & Azureo Deep understanding of Office 365 migration & deployment strategies. Must have been part of at least a couple of prior migrations in a hands-on capacity.o Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analyses for cloud migrations. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Engineeringo Designing, planning and deploying of secure infrastructure and solutionso Prior experience as technical lead on projects. Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration managing Windows server and client desktop environmentso Extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of infrastructure components to include the following:| Windows Operating Systems| Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business| Application Servers - IIS| Infrastructure Servers - ADFS, Web Application proxies| SQL Server Database - Configuration and Administration| Hyper-V & VMware Virtualization| Group Policyo Scripting skills - PowerShell scripting for OS and compatible applications and services. BS in Information Technology or related field.. Prior experiencing working with large enterprises, with focus on mitigating risks and staying in compliance with policies and procedures.. Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, including producing thorough documentation of all work..
