Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Junior Help DeskQA Analyst. This role is needed to perform quality assurance, manage defects, and provide technical support related to two highly visible computer systems for a government agency. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, diagnoses problems, and verifies solutions. Serves as a reliable and professional employee working on a customer site. Able to interact professionally and responsibly with on-site customer personnel. PRIMARY DUTIES - Able to participate as a reliable member of a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Help Desk. Able to review and respond to a variety of user problems or issues. Can review and analyze user feedback and user requirements. Understands and can implement basic Quality Assurance processes. -Able to support QA cycles including applying a set of basic QA checks supporting pre-release verification and occasionally regression testing. Can apply basic software verification skills Can manage lists of defects within Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Atlassian Jira defect library. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer software. Responds to queries either in person or over the phone. Possesses basic organization skills. Can plan and execute a set of required steps, in support of Help Desk response, trouble reporting, problem solving, and record keeping. Train computer users. Respond to email messages from customers seeking help. Ask questions in order to assess the nature of a problem. Walk customer through the problem-solving process. Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved. Run reports to determine or assess malfunctions that occur often. Able to work a committed on-site shift involving hours between 6 am to 6 pm. - Willing to coordinate their work hours with other staff members so as to ensure we achieve the overall required hours coverage for the Help Desk. -Able to work with the development team to perform basic tasks in a timely manner and be responsive to client needs. Ability to work independently. Able to work in a coordinated productive manner with a Senior-Level QAService Desk Analyst and other members of our technical team. Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and basic computer familiarity. Excellent organizational, analytical, customer service, and problem solving skills. Ability to be flexible, take initiative, and prioritize competing demands. - Must work on-site at NARACollege Park. - Able to communicate with and interact successfully with Govt on-site personnel and other team members. - Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Requirements include - Some practical experience in software development software testing is preferred. - 1-5 years of relevant experience is preferred. - Prior familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) andor Atlassian Jira defect tracking is preferred.
