Job DescriptionRepair Service technicianPosition DescriptionPosition Title:Repair Service TechnicianDepartment:Repair ShopReports To:Repair Service CoordinatorPosition SummaryTo repair, modify, rebuild, or overhaul maintenance equipment for customers. Applies knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.Essential Functions1.Repairs and conducts preventative maintenance on various floor machines and janitorial maintenance equipment for customers.2.Ascertains the nature of malfunction by talking directly with customers over the phone. 3.Orders necessary part(s) required for machine repair. Creates and processes repair/purchase orders for services rendered.4.Coordinate pick-up of malfunctioning equipment and shipping of repaired equipment with the customer and the warehouse transportation department.5.Services small electric, gasoline and propane engines by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, and electronic devices.6.Maintains computerized log of repair details (ie - type of machine, type of malfunctions, customer information, etc.) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1.Knowledge of small engine repair.2.Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.3.High mental and visual effort required.4.Job involves standing most of shift.5.Computer Skills are a plusEducation and Experience1.High School Diploma with 1 or 2 years of small appliance & engine repair experienceWhy Kelly(R)?At Kelly .Services(R), we work with the best.
