CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a TSSCI ystem Engineer that can integrate tightly into a Government team where the individual staff members are all expert in their subject areas. This position requires a System Engineer who can quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities, identify and help develop integration between various efforts and are experienced in working with stakeholders to gather clear, concise requirements, and can provide tactical and strategic analysis of changes to be considered on activity prioritization and impact on other Government work priorities. The System Engineer, closely integrated with the Government counterparts, will provide thought leadership for the project tasks, including research, analyses, and prototype development. This work is expected to be accomplished from a Springfield, VA Government location with potential infrequent local travel. MUST HAVE Demonstrable understanding of the development of systems engineering plans large IT program migration engineering planning Demonstrable ability to identify technical and architecture organizational design vision to achieve a cloud service delivery model Ability to construct and apply repeatable processes to the work environment Ability to apply "out of the box " thinking as it applies to the DoD Acquisition process. This flexibility is demonstrated by the projection of ideas methodologies that consider the statutory requirements while demonstrating innovative reasoning in their application that will help to accelerate the process and ensure program success Proficiency with the following Multiple OSs, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco IOS, etc. Managing and advanced SQL query writing, data retrieval, data mining from relational databases such as Oracle PLSQL, MySQL, Postgres and MS SQL Server (T-SQL) Machine learning, data mining, and knowledge discovery Analytic algorithm design and implementation ETL processes including document parsing techniques Networking, compute, and storage technologies Using or designing RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML Developing large cloud software projects, preferably in Java, Python or C++ language Java Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), multithreaded and concurrency systems Multi-threaded, big data, distributive cloud architectures and frameworks including Hadoop, MapReduce, Cloudera, Hive, Spark, Elastic Search, etc. for the purposes of conducting analytic algorithm design and implementation NoSQL database such as Titan, Mongo, Cassandra, and hBase Amazon Web Services (AWS) Services (eg, Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Network, Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), and S3Elastic Block Store (EBS)) Processing and managing large data sets (multi TB scale) Container configuration and implementation - Docker or similar HTML4, JavaScriptWeb development experience, any usage of JavaScript frameworks, such as AngularJS, jQuery Web services environment and technologies such as XML, KML, SOAP, and JSON Proficiency in trouble-shooting in very complex distributed environments including following stack traces back to code and identifying a root cause Required Education - BA or BS in Computer Science or related fields (eg, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering) Required Certification(s) - COMPTIA Security+ certification or CISSP certification MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TSSCI DOD CLEARANCE this will be verified prior to interview.
