Chief Security Officer The VP, Enterprise Security is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for Maxar Technologiesrsquo Security function. This includes assessing the security needs of the organization and helping ensure alignment with business strategic objectives. The VP will be accountable for enabling business velocity while consistently increasing our security posture. The VP, Enterprise Security will build and maintain an overarching security framework that incorporates contractual requirements, governance and risk compliance controls, oversight of information security and operational technology. This position leads the enterprise-wide security program that helps ensure all corporate assets, company and customer information are adequately protected. This VP is responsible for developing and championing the methods and structure for measuring and reporting security risks on a global scale. Maxar Security obligations span, Space Asset development, and operations including robotics, and satellites Earth Intelligence products and services including over 100PB of imagery, and AI and Machine learning analytics products classified and unclassified operations and software and services development. The VP directs staff in identifying, developing, and implementing processes across the organization to mitigate physical, data, and information technology risks. It is particularly important that the VP creates alignment within the technology groups and business leadership teams regarding threat vectors, risk levels, industrial and operational security. The VP plays a large role externally, serving as a subject matter expert on behalf of Maxar both in the broader Governance, Risk and Compliance space as well as with external clients. This role is critical in driving influence through thought leadership and industry presence. Scope Stewardship Enterprise-wide security strategy Industrial Security Operational Security Cyber Security Workforce Protection Insider Risk Management Product and Application Security Space Asset Security Responsibilities Align with The Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team on an enterprise-wide security strategy and approach. The ultimate responsibility for strict adherence to security requirements set forth by customer contracts and federal governance standards. Develop and maintain a security function that meets the operational needs of Maxar and also provides a competitive advantage in both the government and commercial space. Defines the organizational structure of the security organization as well as the roles responsibilities of the organizational members Manage and direct the security team, including performance management, succession planning, and workload balancing. Establish and sustain organization-wide security standards, process improvements, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure that people, processes and technology mitigate both internal and external threats Responsible for creating and adhering to a budget that aligns with the organizationrsquos financial strategy. Establish and manage processes for monitoring security strategies, policies, compliance controls, and programs to meet the companyrsquos business needs. Interfaces with potential partnercustomer senior security leadership to assist in the execution of new business opportunities Functions as a trusted partner with the legalcompliance department and is a source of informationanalysis on Cybersecurity legislation and contracts both domestically and internationally. Prepare and conduct security debriefings for The Board of Directors and other relevant leadership meetings and as requested. Lead the transition to a One Maxar security approach that identifies synergies across all company locations and segments. Required Experience 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise-level information, application, and product security. Has comprehensive knowledge in all security disciplines including Infrastructure, Product, Risk, Application, Personnel, and Physical. Has working knowledge of risk management and comprehensive knowledge of security risk management practices Experience in Manufacturing, Professional Services, and Technology Product operations. Space asset and operations experience desired but not required. Has excellent communication skills to socialize the organization risk posture to the senior executivesboard and recommend risk treatment options. Has proven experience in supporting international sales from a security and compliance perspective. Has strong experience with Corporate Strategy and its implications on the security strategymission and the ability to articulate this to all stakeholders Has experience with commonly used workflows and keeps up to date with new products acquisitions, and strategic moves in the industry Demonstrates strong relationship management skills with key stakeholders regulators, C-suite, Board, Product, Operations, law enforcement, and audit. Understanding of audit and assessment methodologies, procedures and best practices that relate to information networks, systems, and applications. Strong understanding of how to apply current and emerging security technologies to solve business problems. Highly capable program and project management skills. Relevant Bachelorrsquos degree US Citizenship with TSSCI clearance or ability to qualify for clearance Experience with multiple DoD and IC customers
