Currently Seeking Full Time Senior Financial Planner, CFP(R) Summary of Essential DutiesThe Senior Financial Planner, CFP(R) , the "Advisor", is the cornerstone of the financial planning relationship and must demonstrate a broad base of knowledge across all functions of financial planning, including planning, investments, insurance, tax planning, retirement analysis and estate planning. This person is responsible for developing, supporting and managing client relationships in addition to supporting the growth of the firm. This person is comfortable interacting with clients, with an emphasis on ability to communicate planning concepts and address client needs. Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical given the nature of the position and work. An Advisor demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, technical expertise and the ability to effectively manage client relationships. The ability to effectively prioritize workloads and complete tasks within well-defined guidelines and time constraints is essential. Advisors think both strategically and tactically, identify solutions appropriate for each client's situation and design, implement and manage the financial planning process. New business development is a primary function of the position. Additionally, Advisor is responsible for the completion of the essential duties and responsibilities outlined below: OutcomeA successful Advisor will:Spend at least 50% of time in "revenue-producing" activities and make constant and observable contributions to the growth and development of the firmEnsure new and current clients are provided the best possible serviceHelp meet defined new client, revenue and AUM goals while following firm standards of practice LeadershipWork in cooperation with the managing partners to evaluate business financial decisions and drive progress towards business financial goalsWork in cooperation with all team members to see that firm processes are being managed and policies are being adhered toEstablish rules and standards for general business and financial operations and communicate firm financial goalsParticipate as needed in the following areas of firm management and administration: Business Development, Business Management and Administration, Business Strategy and Planning, Strategic Alliances and OperationsProvide training and mentoring to team members, as needed, in areas of financial planning and business development General AdministrativeFollow firm policies and proceduresSupport general administrative needs as necessarySupport firm-wide culture of compliance by meeting all duties and following all policies and procedures Client ServiceServe as primary contact for client relationshipsCommunicate regularly with clients to provide advice / recommendationsSupport and direct team on completion of client service requests utilizing Redtail CRM Business DevelopmentConduct prospect meetings and follow up with prospectsSupport business development activities to promote firm growthRetain client relationships and meet annual business development goalsConduct and support the preparation of client eventsDevelop and maintain strategic alliancesRepresent the firm within the financial services communityUtilize creative thinking skills to search for new workable ideas and solutions and involve the team in the process to develop efficient and effective teamwork Financial Planning and Investment ProcessConduct client meetings independently, including client review, analysis and presentation of financial planning, insurance and investment recommendationsDevelop and present client advice appropriate to individual client situations and in line with the firm's planning processes and investment methodologyReview client situations, goals and needsPresent financial planning findings and investment recommendations to clientsReview all client insurance coverage and present analysis and recommendations to assigned client baseAnalyze new insurance products and strategies for possible incorporation into the firm's product offeringsDrive the successful completion of all outstanding client planning issues and address new ones as they ariseCollaborate and coordinate with clients' trusted advisors to deliver thoughtful and holistic advice, recommendations and serviceProvide training and mentoring to team members in areas of financial planning and business development Knowledge, Skills & AttributesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree requiredSeries 7 license, Series 66, and state health, life, disability and variable annuity licensesCFP(R)Minimum 5 years in a client facing role, or minimum 8 years experience with minimum 3 years in a client facing roleExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and industry standard financial planning softwareExperience managing / training a teamStrong math and analytical skillsExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsImpeccable ability to maintain confidentiality and integrityEffective follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlinesFlawless attention to detail and accuracyEnergetic, eager to learn, willing to cooperateSelf-motivated with ability to work well independently and under directionProfessional appearance and demeanor Preferred Knowledge & SkillsExperience in Morningstar, Riskalyze, eMoney, Microsoft 365, and Redtail Branch Address: 1000 Potomac Street NW, Suite 300 | Washington, DC 20007 Securities licensed associates of Capital Asset Management Group, Inc.
