Job Location Washington, DC Job Type Full-Time Pay Up to 115Kyr (Depends on Experience) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Install and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect organizations sensitive information. Assist computer users with installation or processing of new security products and procedures. Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions. Install software to notify in the event of intrusions and irregular system behavior. Investigate Security Breaches and assess the extent of the damage. Prepare reports of findings to management. Support and execute Risk Assessment and Remediation under the guidelines in the National institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-30 Revision 1, Guide for Conducting Risk Assessment, including system security procedures, internal controls, or implementation that could be exploited by a threat source. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience with anti-virus software, intrusion, detection, firewalls and content filtering. Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods. Understanding of secure network designs, and systems and application architectures. Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods. Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management. Ability to read and use the result of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software. Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and data Loss prevention.
