PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Scientific Research Corporation supports the production, testing and acceptance of US Navy's Signal's Intelligence (SIGINT) systems designed and manufactured by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM); to be installed on US Navy ships, Coast Guard platforms, and shore sites. This support includes; but is not limited to; system performance test result analysis, high level system troubleshooting support to testing team, failure root cause analysis, testing of radio frequency distribution equipment and antennas. This support, ultimately, is designed to ensure system products delivered to US Department of Defense customers are of the highest quality. This Systems Engineer will act as a contributor to small group of skilled Engineers supporting the OEM facility many forms of Systems Engineering principles. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Systems Engineering Support over a broad range of hardware types including RF assemblies, power supplies (AC and DC), FPGAs, digital signal processors, network/server equipment, and embedded architectures * System and Equipment Requirements Analysis and Maintenance * Analyze, Interpret, and Generate Engineering Schematics and Change Notices * System and Performance modeling * Root Cause Analysis * Hardware Design with respect to component/assembly analysis, specification, integration, and testing * RF System/Subsystem analysis and specification review * Planning, procedure development, and execution of system test efforts Scientific Research Corporation offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages excellence. MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: * Must currently possess an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance * Solid foundation in Electrical and/or Computer engineering * Genuine desire to solve unique, system-level problems * Demonstrated creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills * Ability to solve difficult technical problems with minimal oversight or guidance * Collaborative teamwork skills interacting across multiple disciplines including other systems engineers, software developers, integration teams, quality assurance, production personnel, and program managers * Have developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniques DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: * Experience with a broad range of hardware types including RF assemblies, power supplies (AC and DC), FPGAs, digital signal processors, network/server equipment, and embedded architectures * Familiarity with System Requirements and Key Performance Points Analysis * Experience in Engineering schematics and Engineering Change Notices * Experience in Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Analysis * A background in system testing to include planning, procedure development, and test execution * Hands-on experience utilizing digital and RF test equipment including signal generators, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE DoD TOP SECRET / SCI CLEARANCE Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
