Frederick, MD How will you make an impact?The Cell Biology R&D group is a team of scientists engaged in the development and commercialization of the culture system products relevant to Cell Biology/Cell Therapy. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to play a significant role in creating next generation cell culture products and learn the product development process in a leading biotechnology company. Due to nature of projects, some weekend work will be required in order to maintain cell cultures and experimental or project timelines. What will you do? Identification and optimization of the isolation, culture & expansion of distinct immune relevant cell typesCulture of immune cells and other cells types, as required for specific experimental objectives Independently design and execute experiments, and analyze results Employ a diverse array of assays and analytical tools to address key biological questions and product requirements The successful candidate will have a strong background in cell culture and hands on experience with culturing a wide range of cells, both in suspension and adherent. How will you get here?EducationRequires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related life sciences discipline with 5+ years of experience or MS with 3+ years of experienceExperienceCell culture experience Cell based imaging and assays (flow cytometry, ELISA, fluorescent microscopy)Familiarity and use of standard cell and molecular biology techniquesPreference given to candidates with demonstrable experience in immunology and/ or cell therapy.
