Avaya Telecom Engineer Maintains Avaya PBX systems and applications in operational condition with support of OM Program Team. Responsible for day-to-day system monitoring, troubleshooting, movesaddschangesdeletions. Ensure implementation of best practice solutions for voice communications services. Design and implement voice solutions including PBX engineering, voice network provisioning, call center solutions, and ACD administration. Recommend solutions, improvements, strategy, and architecture for voice network and systems. Support and manage voice systems, voice networks, and adjuncts such as System Manager, Session Manager, AES, CMS, WFO OfficeLinx. Provide Tier 2 and 3 support to internal voice support staff. Ensure incident tickets are attended to in a timely manner, escalated as appropriate, and closed with proper documentation. Document voice networks. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline. Equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree. 10+ years of experience supporting similar systems with focus on Avaya 4+ years of experience with call center technology, voice systems and voice networks with emphasis in VoIP systems with both h.323 and SIP. Experience in a complex IT environment with a multi-platform technical environment helpful. Expert knowledge with Avaya Communication Manager (Avaya Aura Platforms) and Adjunct Administration, Maintenance, and Installation. Experience with VoIP, inbound and outbound voice networks, experience with network protocols and circuit provisioning and standards, understanding of LAN protocols. Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects and work across all levels in the organization. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with project teams and managers as a service provider. Proven ability to plan, investigate, design, and implement voice networks. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Relevant Avaya certifications are required. Must be able to support on-calloutage needs. Must support user support calls, entermodify tickets, resolve trouble tickets and requests Must be able to walk sizeable campus to support user base and lift at least 40 lbs Security+ certification is required. DOD Secret clearance is required.
