My client located in Washington DC has a 9-month contract position available for Windows Systems Administrator Key Responsibilities Focus on Windows Systems Administration of Microsoft Windows Servers. Maintain an Active Directory infrastructure including GPOs, RODC server core, site topology, securitydelegation control, Deep knowledge of Powershell scripting. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft servers and other Microsoft products in bank headquarters and country offices. Provide remote assistance and support to IT staff in the different regions and end-users when necessary Provide support for server backup monitoring. Provide support for File and Anti-virus servers. Coordinate with business units and IT staff in regions proposals for upgrade and or implementation of new technologiesservices as well as procurement of hardware and software Participate in patch management and security administration for Windows servers. In-depth analysis and problem resolution for complex operating environments involving Microsoft Determine the impact of requirements on the existing architecture, systems, and work processes. Work with affected areas to ensure the proper reviewcommunication of requirements and integration. Determine infrastructure system specifications for hardwaresoftware compatibility, in close collaboration with other ITS teams and the Office of Information Security. Perform troubleshooting for security incidents that require software and network forensic analysis, in close collaboration with other ITS teams. On-Call and weekend support required. Required Experience Bachelor's degree(s) in Computer ScienceEngineering or Equivalent. Minimum 7 consecutive years of system administration experience. At least 7 years' experience supporting a large installation of Microsoft Windows Servers Powershell programming and scripting experience Knowledge of Active Directory Management including user management, GPOs, site topology, securitydelegation control, In-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals, registries, permissions. Familiarity with performance analysis using performance monitoring Good knowledge of TCPIP networking and protocols (DNS, ICMP, SMB, SSLTLS, etc.). Patch management procedures for windows operating systems. Initiative and resourcefulness in complex environments flexibility and ability to prioritize conflicting demands in high-pressure and time-critical situations. Knowledge of File server management as well as Anti-virus management tools. Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively in a teamtask force as a participant or team leader. Demonstrated sensitivity to the Bank's distinctive demographics and cross cultural context and influences, including the ability to build effective work relationships with clients and colleagues. Proven conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language. Experience troubleshooting system hardware and software, particularly to investigate problems related to server outages.
