Location Baltimore,MD Duration 6+ months The Data Analyst possesses 5+ years experience in the data management space and is responsible for gathering and documenting Business and Technical requirements around Data Management systems Roles and Responsibilities -Communicate with end users, project sponsors, and various constituencies. -Gather business and data requirements, facilitate end user discussions around Data Management and Business Intelligence technologies and applications. -Document all business and technical requirement, for translation into technical specification and data mappings. -Create table to table mappings to support technical data integration specifications. -Analyze and solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data (for example, review for accuracy in record merge, unmerge processes) -Leverage SQL and various other tools to identify data anomalies during data validation. -Performing source data profiling to support prep, clean-up, and DW loading. -Providing support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) -Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data Skills Required -Professional experience with gathering business and data requirements and facilitating solution discussions around Data Management and Business Intelligence technologies and applications. -2+ years of Data Warehousing experience -1-2+ years of Data Quality related experience (with or without tool based solutions) -Proven experience with major Database systems including development, design, optimization and maintenance. -Familiar with SQL server TSQL, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS -Knowledge of MDM data processes and Data Quality best practices.
