Our web development work is rapidly expanding, and we are looking to hire a sharp, experienced web developer.WHAT WE OFFER:Excellent payPositive work environmentFlexible hours including part-time and after hoursRemote workWorking with a team of experts delivering solutions for great clients with a true agile mindsetPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The developerA cents € (TM) s primary focus will be to provide development technical expertise to maintain and develop websites on various platforms including WordPress, Drupal, and others. A solid understanding of CSS, PHP, and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular is important. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality is important.POSITION TYPE:The position is remote work, long-term, part-time, contract-to-hire starting at 5 to 10 hours per week. Required hardware includes a quality headset, webcam, and monitors well-suited for working remotely.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Developing new user-facing features using one or more of the key JavaScript based frameworks listedBuilding reusable UI componentsTranslating designs and wireframes into high quality codeOptimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsersImplementing responsive design patternsCollaborate with the team for problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality using an agile mindsetREQUIRED SKILLS:Thorough understanding of PHPStrong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6 / ES Next features, asynchronous coding (async/await, promises, callbacks), and the Document Object ModelFamiliarity with RESTful APIsFamiliarity with modern front-end build pipelines and toolsKnowledge of HTML and CSS (SASS, PostCSS, etc.)A knack for benchmarking and optimizationFamiliarity Git version control (branching, merging, etc.) and hosted Git services (Gitlab, GitHub, etc.)Experience in applying software design, implementation, testing and debugging techniquesExperience with coding and deploying applications in a cross-platform, cross-browser environmentBachelorA cents € (TM) s degree in Web development or related field, or relevant experienceA' HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS:Minimum 5+ years of experience designing, developing web sites, web applications, and online softwareFamiliarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and MercurialHands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics toolsExperience and understanding of object-oriented programming techniques and advanced data structuresExperience with SQL or MySQLUnderstanding of Vue.js or React.js and its core principlesA basic understanding of graphic design and the ability to work with graphic designersTranslating designs and wireframes into high quality code Implementing responsive design patternsDocumenting project builds and maintenanceCode branch management and flexible deployment skillsAutomating code deployments and buildsShell scripting and familiarity working with LinuxTesting (unit, integration, end to end)OTHER FACTORS:Strong initiative, highly collaborative, curious, detail-oriented, tenacious, ability to work without significant directionKeen attention to detailsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsExceptional time management capabilitiesA positive attitude and great work ethicWillingness to go the extra mile and complete fantastic work you can be proud of!
