Desktop Computer Technician (Baltimore) Network Support Technician (Baltimore) Network Support Engineer - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE & VERIFIABLE REFERENCESExperienced Desktop Network Engineer: Hours are 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Mon - Fri. NO WEEKENDSOne of Baltimore/Washington's leading technical solutions providers, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to provide onsite IT support to our clients in the SMB marketReliable transportation is a MUSTDuties Include but not limited to :Troubleshooting, Installing, Configuring equipment, and softwareOccasional heavy lifting may be required up to 50 lbs.Supporting customers over the phone and on-siteMust be reliableMust have experience with All Windows Operating SystemsMust have knowledge of hardware and various computer componentsMust have experience with networking in a business environmentFamiliarity with VoIP is a plusUpdating service tickets and client asset information via our ticketing systemMust have relevant Server OS knowledge (installation/configuration)Must have on-premise Exchange knowledgeQualifications:Must have at least 2 years recent field experience with verifiable referencesPreference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, and/or industry certifications.We will be accepting resume's as well as letters of pertinent experience (letters that explain logical relevant experience in the field)Must have reliable transportation, valid state issued drivers license and insurance - current driving record may be requestedMust have basic field tech hand toolsMust have email compatible mobile device (phone/tablet) and laptop computer (for troubleshooting networks and etc)Skill RequirementsStrong skills in organization, time management, and task prioritization are a mustExperience with all currently relevant desktop and server Windows systemsExperience with the installation, troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing of low-voltage cabling and peripheral devices, laptops, desktops, printers and wired/wireless networksSome knowledge of Apple OSX, Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows MobileExperience with Active Directory and other server-based products (Exchange, SQL, etc)Experience with business class Symantec Products (Backup Exec, Endpoint Protection, etc)Experience with networking (DNS, DHCP, Terminal Services, VPN, etc)Experience with Firewalls and Firewall configuration (SonicWall, WatchGuard, Fortigate/Fortinet)Experience with standard office productivity packages (QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Office 365/Sharepoint, Sage, etc)Experience with network cabling, security camera systems, and/or network copiers/printers are a plusKnowledge and experience with disassembling and diagnosing laptops, desktops and other components for repair or replacementKnowledge of desktop and laptop parts and components and strong troubleshooting experienceExperience with the installation, troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing of low-voltage cabling and peripheral devices, laptops, desktops, printers and wired/wireless networksFamiliar with troubleshooting and hardware for printers, scanners, various equipment, as may be needed to go onsite to various medical or government facilities or offices - VA certified a plus!Knowledge of hard-wired and wireless devices: Routers, Switches, FirewallsAwesome communication skills for responding to customers questions, problems, and requests to resolve issues with the ability to translate technology issues into layman termsMust have previous work experience as network engineer - MUST PROVIDE CURRENT AND VALID REFERENCES WHICH WILL BE CHECKED!!Must be familiar with local streets & freeways/highwaysBe able to comply with company proceduresNeat appearanceKind and polite attitude with a willingness to "go the extra mile"And most of all you LOVE making customers happy!
