Overview We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as a Technical Writer within our Shared Services team. Reporting to the Manger of Shared Services you will work in close co-operation with USAC business customers and IT teams, to apply analytical and business skills to develop technical documentation and maintain architecture repositories of technical artifacts for publishing to business users, development teams, IT security, IT operations, and IT architecture teams. Responsibilities Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Technical Writer will creating user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals. Among others, your responsibilities will include the following Explaining scientific and technical ideas in simple language. Ensuring technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson. Writing clear and concise policies and procedures. Identifying opportunities to use simple visual representations to make technical concepts more clear, working with graphic designer to create these visuals. Producing technical documentation for data infrastructure architectures, data models, data maps, data dictionaries, meta data and APIs and publishing in the appropriate form. Meeting with architects, developers, PMO analysts, and other staff to produce technical artifacts. Maintaining the architecture repository. Studying drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples. Editing technical artifacts. Other specific duties as assigned. The successful candidate will excel at operating in a diverse and fluid environment, and will be crucial for the success of the Shared Services Division. You have Bachelor Degree and relevant technical training and certifications. You have 3 to 4 years of directly related experience. You have 1 to 2 years of experience with IT systems and components. You have 1 to 2 years of experience working with documentation tools. You have outstanding communication skills with clear and concise writing and reading comprehension. You have the ability to rely on instructions and established guidelines. You have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. You have experience with artifact publishing, using data modeling (ex. Erwin) and enterprise architecture tools (ex. SPARX EA). The following skills are desired You have SharePoint.
